PWH-150 Light Duty Thermal Styrofoam Densifier

The PWH-150 delivers efficient foam densification in a compact, light duty machine. Processing up to 150 pounds per hour, this American-made thermal Styrofoam densifier helps operations with smaller foam waste volumes reclaim space, cut haul-away costs, and recover value from material they currently discard.

Explore the PWH-150
Industrial plastic granulator machine labeled PolyWiz with a red and silver body, control panel, and chute for feeding materials. Designed for styrofoam recycling applications, the model number PWH-150 is visible on the front.
Large industrial machine with a maroon hopper labeled PWH-150, control panel, and gray conveyor belt attachment, used for processing or shredding materials such as styrofoam; this PolyWiz densifier is designed for efficient material reduction and recycling operations.

Compact Size, Efficient Foam Processing

The PWH-150 processes clean, dry expanded polystyrene (EPS), expanded polyethylene (EPE), and expanded polypropylene (EPP). Its shredder and heated extrusion process reduce foam volume by up to 90:1, producing dense purge that can be formed into manageable blocks and sold as a commodity.

With a smaller footprint than the PWH-300, it brings practical foam recovery into facilities where processing needs and available space call for a more compact machine.

Straightforward Operation

  1. Set Temperature: Begin by setting the desired operating temperature on the densifier control panel. This temperature will depend on the type and density of the foam being processed.
  2. Heating Process: Allow the system to heat up to the pre-set temperature. This process may take some time depending on the size of the densifier, as well as the initial temperature conditions.
  3. Auger Activation: As the system reaches the designated temperature, the auger will start automatically. This auger helps maintain a consistent flow of material for processing.
  4. Shredder Activation: Following the auger's initiation, the shredder component of the densifier will engage. The shredder is responsible for breaking down larger foam pieces into smaller, more manageable pieces for densification.
  5. Ready for Operation: Once both the auger and shredder are activated and operational, the PolyWiz Thermal Styrofoam Densifier is ready for use. You can begin feeding foam waste into the hopper for processing.

Maintenance Made Accessible

All grease fittings are strategically positioned on a single, user-friendly panel, making lubrication tasks effortless and convenient. This thoughtful design not only simplifies the maintenance process but also encourages operators to adhere to routine upkeep schedules. By streamlining maintenance procedures and providing easy access to critical components, we empower our clients to uphold the longevity and efficiency of their equipment, ultimately maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
  • Easy to access grease fittings all in one convenient location
  • Easy to remove guard to access drive chain and apply lubricant
  • Easy to locate hole for simple gear oil application
  • And that's it! Machine maintenance is simple with Better Densifiers!

Manual Feeding for Your Foam Workflow

The PWH-150 is hand-fed, giving operators control over material input throughout processing. Your team can monitor the foam entering the hopper and adjust feeding to suit the material being handled and the machine’s operating instructions.
